Family Guidance Center is proud to celebrate our 115th anniversary by presenting an extraordinary evening with John Quiñones.   Mr. Quiñones' message will focus on the important role we all can play in someone's life when we open our hearts to help those who may be struggling - particularly with a non-visible condition like mental health. Best known for the "What Would You Do" series, Mr. Quiñones will remind us of the power each of us has to help and to heal.

Children’s Hunger Alliance partners with family child care providers, daycare centers, school districts and afterschool and summer nutrition programs to help provide healthy meals and snacks for children in their care, as well as nutrition and physical education to children and their families.
 

The magic of the holidays will surround you at the 9th Annual Jingle Jangle Jam, the largest holiday fundraiser for children and families in the Tampa Bay area. Last year’s event attracted more than 400 of Tampa Bay’s most affluent and influential individuals and dozens of corporate sponsors. Since 1996 , SHARP Literacy has been providing students with opportunities to develop a wide range of skills – reading, writing, oral communications, research, creating thinking and problem solving – SHARP creates a solid foundation for future learning and success. Based on pre- and post- vocabulary assessments 72% of all SHARP students improve their vocabulary by four or more words.  SHARP currently serves approximately 7,000 students in grades K5-5.

On Wednesday, April 20, 2016, Emmy-award-winning anchor and author John Quiñones will be the featured speaker at a luncheon at the Knoxville Convention Center. The event will begin with a Mission Fair at 10:00 am.  Agencies which serve the homeless, along with VMC, will present booths and interact with visitors who are looking for volunteer opportunities.  More information…
