Family Guidance Center Celebrates 115th Anniversary, Wyomissing, PA

Family Guidance Center is proud to celebrate our 115th anniversary by presenting an extraordinary evening with John Quiñones.   Mr. Quiñones' message will focus on the important role we all can play in someone's life when we open our hearts to help those who may be struggling - particularly with a non-visible condition like mental health. Best known for the "What Would You Do" series, Mr. Quiñones will remind us of the power each of us has to help and to heal.

We are thrilled to announce our speaker for A Novel Event 2016 which will be held on Monday, October 17th at 12 Noon at the Pfister Hotel Ballroom.

Since 1996 , SHARP Literacy has been providing students with opportunities to develop a wide range of skills – reading, writing, oral communications, research, creating thinking and problem solving – SHARP creates a solid foundation for future learning and success. Based on pre- and post- vocabulary assessments 72% of all SHARP students improve their vocabulary by four or more words.  SHARP currently serves approximately 7,000 students in grades K5-5.

Since 1991 MEF has provided more than $6.5 million in funding to enhance learning in the classroom in an effort to continually strengthen the Signal Mountain schools.  MEF brings parents, community leaders, citizens and local businesses together for an organized and united fundraising effort while connecting with principals and educators to identify the essential needs for each of the schools it serves.
